Hello, I’m Catherine

— the sole florist behind every bouquet, arrangement and installation at Floral Evolution.

I qualified in 2015, and I've spent the ten years since building a business around what I love: structured, bold, colourful design, delivered without fuss.

I work from my home studio in South East London, and when you book with me, you get me; from your first enquiry through to the last flower delivered.

What it’s like to work with me

I’m a very friendly, down-to-earth and chilled out florist, but I always deliver what I promise. My clients tend to say the same thing: that I take the time to guide them through the process.

Whether I’m doing flowers for a wedding or an event, I design what works rather than what's trending, and I'll always tell you honestly if a bigger spend won't actually make your flowers better.

Mentoring & representation

I'm a Black-led business, and representation runs through everything I do — in the clients I work with and the florists I help bring through. Each month, I run In Bloom, a free mentorship programme for florists from underrepresented backgrounds, covering everything from getting started in the industry to running a business day to day.

Teaching & community

Teaching is a big part of how I give back too. I teach floristry in a further education setting in Lewisham, working with adults who are training for a career in the industry — it's a different kind of mentoring, but it comes from the same place. I'm also drawn to community-facing, installation-led work: in November 2025, I was one of five floral designers invited to transform the Garden Museum for Winter Flowers Week, creating a British-grown, sustainably sourced installation as part of the museum's seasonal exhibition.

An indoor display featuring potted plants, with white flowers in front, set against a backdrop of a large poster of a modern building with balconies. The display is illuminated with purple lighting on the sides and has a beige wall behind.
