A free programme for Black people and people of colour entering floristry

The floristry industry is a wonderful one to work in. But it’s also a predominantly white one. When I was starting out, there weren't many people who looked like me to learn from or look up to. I started Roots because I wanted that to change — and because the most useful thing I can do is share what I've learned.

Roots is a four week, free monthly programme for Black people and people of colour who are new to floristry, or seriously thinking about it as a career. I work with small groups of four at a time, which means real space to talk, ask questions, and build connections with others on the same path.

Roots Mentorship FAQs

  • A typical call is 45 minutes long.

  • My groups run on a rolling basis, for as long as there's demand.

  • There usually isn’t a waiting list, but I’ll let you know if there is one when you apply.

  • There is no selection criteria other than being from a BAME group.

  • Ongoing support may be offered if required. This is something we can discuss after our last session.
