Dulwich Picture Gallery annual supporters dinner

Exhibition and supporters celebration

EVENT

Dulwich Picture Gallery

VENUE

July 2024

DATE

The annual supporters dinner at Dulwich Picture Gallery 2024 coincided with the opening of Yoshida: Three Generations of Japanese Printmaking — the first major exhibition of the Yoshida family’s work to be shown in the UK or Europe. The palette and sensibility of that show informed the way I approached the floristry. I worked in an ikebana-inspired style: pared back and considered, with large focal flowers, structured anthurium and delicate orlaya grandiflora to soften the scheme. Over 80 bowls and vases ran the full length of the table in pink, white and blue — one of my favourite schemes I’ve ever produced, because the creative direction came entirely from the art on the walls.

“Catherine always hits the brief, creating amazing flowers that fit the theme of the exhibitions taking into consideration, colours, forms and textures.  Guests are always blown away by the wonderful flowers produced by Catherine.”
