I’ve worked with Julian George and The Future Plate for a number of years, but their four-year celebration dinner in December 2025 was something different. It was the event where they finally raised a glass in their own space — the newly opened Test Kitchen at Somerset House, designed with Conran & Partners, and the first permanent home The Future Plate has had. For a dinner that marked four years of building something genuinely important for Black chefs in this country, I wanted the flowers to match the moment: considered, confident and clean. Paperwhites were the obvious choice. One variety, massed in varying heights and depths down the length of the table, their star-shaped blooms catching the light from the Conran lamps alongside. The scent alone made the room.

“Catherine arranged a beautiful table filled with seasonal flowers for our special celebration event. We can always rely on Catherine to deliver beautiful flowers for all of our events whilst considering the brief and budget available.  It is always a pleasure to work with Catherine, a valued and trusted partner of the Future Plate. ”

Every event starts with a conversation.

I’d love to hear more about the event you’re planning.
